About Grafana

Grafana is a multi-platform open source analytics and interactive visualization web application. It provides charts, graphs, and alerts for the web when connected to supported data sources. Grafana dashboards can be embedded in Control Center after which they are shown as a menu option in Control Center named "dashboard".

Default auto generated dashboard

For every owner group on every TMF instance a dashboard is auto generated. This auto generated dashboard can be optionally shown in Control Center. Manual configuration is still necessary to show it (See next chapter).

Configure a dashboard in Control Center

To configure the embedding of a dashboard in Control Center:

1. open the menu groups
2. find the desired owner group
3. open the grafana dashboard tab. If this tab is not present you are not in an owner group
4. type in the url and the uid of the dashboard. Optionally you can change the view permission necessary to be able to view the dashboard. The url should contain the query parameters kiosk and theme=light. The uid of the dashboard can be found by opening the JSON model of the dashboard in Grafana itself. Permissions

• dashboards:edit Permission necessary to change dashboard details
• dashboards:view Permission necessary to view all dashboards.
• dashboard:view The default permission to be able to view the menu item dashboards in Control Center
